tramadol medicationTramadol is a narcotic-like pain reliever and is used to treat any type of moderate to severe pain, both acute and chronic. The available forms are IR, ER and SR forms of Tramadol. It works on the brain and central nervous system to reduce the way a patient feels pain. This is the main reason why people nowadays are opting to buy the pain reliever pills through online portals.

The normal dose of Tramadol which is available from online drugstores are Tramadol 50mg and Tramadol 100mg. Both these dosage strengths are prescribed by doctors around the globe to both children as well as grown- ups, who require immediate relief from pain. Below are 2 clinical trials of Tramadol drug which is the proof that Tramadol is the best pain-relief pill which is available to people to get instant relief from their pain.

Clinical trials of Tramadol, Case 1:

The performance and the safety factor Tramadol HCl + Acetaminophen in patients with pain because of an ankle sprain with a partially torn ligament were studied. This combination of drug is found to be efficient as this has a more rapid onset action and a longer duration of action when compared to Tramadol HCl alone or Acetaminophen alone. The procedure was to determine the pain relief on the first day with a first dose medication after 4 hours and then to analyze the difference in pain intensity after the course of treatment. Tramadol is a short-acting drug that cannot be treated in patients more than 5 days as it will then produce dependency, which makes the system get used to the tramadol. This study included criteria of patients with acute ankle sprain within 48 hours of the start of the study, moderate pain before dose consumption, good overall health and if female of childbearing age was present, she was checked for birth control methods used. The eligibility was 18 – 75 years with both genders. The tramadol dose included 2 capsules of 37.5/325 mg of this combination, and the patient is recommended to purchase and try tramadol capsules for 4 times a day but not exceeding 8 capsules per day. This is the allowed permissible dose of tramadol for anybody.

The study concluded that on Day 1 after the first dose, total pain relief was diagnosed for 4 hours, and the pain intensity differences were determined by asking the patient to record their pain daily in a diary on a scale of 1, 2 and 3 and they seemed to find good effective results that reduced their pain tremendously.

Clinical trials of Tramadol, Case 2:

The safety and efficiency of tramadol HCl in the treatment of osteoarthritis pain with reference to adverse effects reported is studied. An extensive research was conducted with tramadol IR, Tramadol ER and Sustained Release (SR) to check its efficiency and adverse effects on chronic pain and osteoarthritis. The inclusion criteria were fifteen studies with no age limits and gender criteria. The tramadol dosages were generalized as per the FDA rules and then results from all the fifteen studies were analysed and then concluded.
The study shows that even though tramadol formulations are similar biologically, the adverse effects are based on pharmacokinetics, drug release patterns and availability of the drug. IR and long-acting tramadol appeared to be dose-dependent and were seen to affect CNS and gastrointestinal rates. ER seems to be reported with only mild to moderate adverse event (AE) severity and was seen to be occurring only during the initial phase of the treatment with medication. And those AE’s were nausea, dizziness, constipation, vomiting, headache, and somnolence.
